Barkley’s Country Canines Website

This project involved creating a warm, professional, and easy-to-navigate website for a family-run, licensed breeder of Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs. The goal was to showcase the breeder’s commitment to health, transparency, and lifelong support, while guiding potential puppy families through the process of learning about the dogs, joining the waitlist, and staying connected.

My Role

As the designer and developer for this project:

  • Collaborated directly with the breeder to capture her voice and values throughout the site.

  • Designed and built a clean, visually appealing layout tailored to the breeder’s personality using Squarespace 7.1.

  • Created a web friendly color palette incorporating the business logo colors.

  • Optimized the site for performance, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.

  • Provided SEO optimization across all core pages.

  • Delivered a custom infographic-style editing guide with screenshots
